WHAT IS deadCENTER FILM FESTIVAL?

The deadCENTER Film Festival is an opportunity for filmmakers in the Oklahoma, South Central and all parts of the United States to show their films to the audience they deserve.
deadCENTER was started one year ago. It had a very successful premiere with over 40 films showing from the United States and six foreign countries.
Last year's filmmakers benefited in regional and national media exposure that included articles in the Daily Oklahoman, Oklahoma Gazette and Hitch Magazine. deadCENTER also received television and radio coverage through Channel 9 (local CBS affilate) and 100.5 KATT FM's the Rick and Brad Show- Currently Oklahoma's #1 ranked morning radio show.
This year's event will prove to be even bigger with the addition of more films to the format, increased media coverage and a filmmaker dinner.
Last year's event consisted of all short films (under 45 minutes running time). This year, with the increased time slots we will be showing feature films as well. This year we will have a 100% increase in seating capacity and more food vendors as well as more fimmaker awards.
deadCENTER Film Festival is set up to serve you the filmmaker. It is planned and designed by filmmakers. Films are reviewed by filmmakers, not a large committee that does not know the first thing about making a film.
We at the deadCENTER Film Festival see film as one of the highest and sometimes most unappreciated forms of art. We do our best to promote your art knowing the time, trouble and budgets that go into making a film.
Don't get lost in the crowd of some over hyped and expensive film festival where you are another number. Show and promote your film through the deadCENTER Film Festival, because we are filmmakers too!
